Our Churches
As a school we link directly with two churches - St Paul’s, Tottenham and All Hallows’, Tottenham. Please see below for further information regarding our links.
St Paul’s Church, Tottenham
The community of St Paul's began around 1855 in an iron building in Northumberland Park (what is now 125 Northumberland Park). Ms Jemima Holt bequeathed some land in Park Lane and William Mumford, architect, was appointed. Construction work began in 1858 and the church, built from Kentish stone, was consecrated in 1859 as one of the "Commissioners churches".
In 1973 the building was demolished and whilst the new church and flats were being built the church community worshipped in the school hall across the road. The current building was dedicated on 20 November 1976 by the Rt Rev'd Bishop Bill Westwood, Bishop of Edmonton.
St Paul's is in the Anglo-Catholic tradition of the Church of England, celebrating Mass at least 5 times a week.
We enjoy a very strong and positive relationship with St Paul’s Church, The Vicar, Staffan Dawkins, and other church staff visit the school every week and lead acts of worship. Special celebrations are held at the church four times each year; classes visit the church for lessons on topics such as Baptism, Holy Communion, vestments and church buildings.
The vicar of St Paul’s is an ex-officio member of the governors of St Paul’s and All Hallows, making a valuable contribution to the life of the school.
All Hallow’s Church, Tottenham
The church and congregation of All Hallows, Tottenham exists to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to the people of our community, and to call them to a living faith in God through him. They seek to welcome all people into the family of the Church, irrespective of background, capability or circumstances of life.
We enjoy a very strong and positive relationship with All Hallows’ Church. Special celebrations are held at the church each year; classes visit the church for lessons on topics such as All Saint’s Day.
